Snooker

Jimmy White MBE winning the 2023 World Senior Snooker Championship

The Epsom Club is home to Jimmy ‘The Whirlwind’ White who practices at the club when not on tournament or pundit duty. We have 3 professional snooker tables that were all recovered and re-cushioned in June 2023. Jimmy’s table is a heated slate Star Tournament table which is available to members when not in use by Jimmy.

We have two club teams who both play in the Epsom and District Billiards and Snooker League which was first formed in 1905 and currently has 3 divisions (Premier, Divisions 1 and 2). The league runs from September to March in addition to the club’s own competitions.

Darts

The club team competes in the Epsom and Ewell Dart League on Monday evenings involving home and away matches. New team members are always welcome. If you would like any more information please contact Roger Hicks on 07506 247146

Investment Club

The Investment Club meets on the 2nd Thursday evening of the month with a dinner included. There are a maximum of 20 members who each opt to invest £25, £50 or £75 per month into an investment fund. Further details on request.

Pool

The Epsom Club has recently introduced a tournament Supreme Match Pool Table which includes a top frame that is clipped secure all the way round allowing for perfect ball response. Our pool team play in the Tolworth Pool League sponsored by Molson Coors every Tuesday night. The club also runs its own competitions. Golf

Golf Days are arranged on a bi-monthly basis. We are a friendly society welcoming golfers of all abilities with the focus on fun. If you would like any more information about the golf or to be added to the mailing list please contact: terencedye@hotmail.com

Sea Fishing

We are lucky to have a member of the Epsom Club Alan Newnham, newly appointed on the committee, and his wife Sue who are both seasoned fishermen to organise a sea fishing trip off the south coast.  Although there are no fixed dates or prices yet I am told that this will take place later in the year when the weather is kinder.

Alan will set up an Epsom club fishing Whats app Group.  So if you would like to join the group please send your name and mobile telephone number to Alan on  07471 101500 and he will be able to keep you updated.

Please be aware that there are limited spaces on board and rods can be hired from the captain of the boat.  

Club Events

The club regularly organises a range of events such as cabaret and music evenings with live musicians usually with a meal included. Members’ dinners are also held for significant dates during the year such as New Years Eve, Burns Night, Derby Day, President’s Night & Christmas Day etc.

Members’ guests are always invited subject to numbers limitations. Outings are regularly arranged with visits to the theatre, guided walks, river trips and others.
