Well, here we go again…yet another month waiting to pounce tomorrow!

August:

Thursday 13th – Ewell St. Mary’s Morris Men 

The jolly chaps from Ewell will be entertaining us in the garden from 8pm with a fine selection of Morris dances.  Please come along and show your support.

Thursday 13th ~ Hollies Investment Club Meeting. 7pm

After discussing their current and future investments, at 8pm the group retire to the Main Bar for dinner. At this point other club members are welcome to join them.   (I should mention that there is a £5 increase on the cost of the meal but that’s a bit of a bargain because the group fund all the wine during dinner!)

Sunday 16th ~ It’s Carvery time

There’ll be a selection of starters , a choice of 3 meats served with all the trimmings for the Main Course, and delicious desserts.  2 Courses £20, 3 courses £25 and Children £9. There’ll be a poster on the board soon to collect names for this very popular Lunch.

Did you know that there are discounted rates* for Room Hire if you are a Full Member?  For instance, to hire the Main Bar the hourly rate for Full Members is £25, whereas for a Commercial hire the rate is £45.  There is also a reduced rate for Charities or Community events of £35.  *There are slightly different charges re which room/rooms are needed, and whether the garden is included.

And now…two notes from me!

1) Thank you so much to everyone who has sent in prizes for our annual Christmas Tombola! (This year I may have to get rather a lot more Christmas wrapping paper!)

2) My second note is to ask if any of you are ardent gardeners cos I’ve managed to grow on some seeds from one of my Hibiscus shrubs.

Consequently I now have lots of small plants to give away. Any offers?
